Homecoming Football Game • Saturday, September 26, 2026
We're looking for volunteers to help staff the CRU Shoppe during the Homecoming football game. Join us for a fun afternoon supporting the school community while enjoying the game-day atmosphere!
Set-Up & Early Shift
11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Help set up the outdoor CRU Shoppe before kickoff and assist with merchandise sales during the first part of the game. Kickoff is at 1:00 p.m., so there will be plenty of opportunity to enjoy the festivities while volunteering.

2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Help keep the CRU Shoppe running during the second half of the game and assist with packing up and tearing down at the end of the day.

All students are to report directly to their core group locations at 8:30 a.m. Core Group leaders will show a video and present other educational resource for students. Engaging discussions will also be lead by core group leaders. Student wearing their orange shirts will be permitted to wear appropriate casual wear this day.
On September 30, 2026, St. Paul’s High School will observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, a statutory holiday that honours the memory of Indigenous children who died in residential schools and acknowledges the lasting impact of the residential school system on survivors, families, and communities. This day is a vital part of our collective journey toward reconciliation.
Sponsored by the President's Office, members of the Class of 2027 will enjoy a pizza lunch and ice cream for dessert. The event will take place on Monday, October 5th at lunchtime, in the MultiPlex.
Parents of Grade 12 Students:
Last week, all grade 12 students attended a presentation on Post-Secondary Planning and Scholarships. If you would like to see a video summary of that presentation, it is now available for parents. We are encouraging our senior students to be especially organized and independent in their final year at St. Paul's, so parents should feel no pressure to manage this material.
Students planning to attend a university in Ontario must apply to one centralized site called OUAC. Applications are then forwarded by OUAC to up to three universities of the student’s choice. The OUAC portal opened this week and is now accepting applications.
Scholarships Featured This Week: IndSpire Scholarships for Indigenous Students which is an organization that manages applications for multiple scholarships using a single application and the Strike Equality Diversity and Inclusion Scholarships (categories of Canadian Immigrant, Indigenous, LGBTQS+, and Western Canadians). Due dates vary by the category applied for.
The counselling department began individual interviews with grade twelve students this week. We will discuss post-secondary plans, career aspirations, mental health, and any other topics your son raises.
Once we have met with every student in grade 12, we will begin interviewing our grade nines. The focus of individual meetings in grade 9 is to get to know our new clients. We will check on mental health, discuss academic concerns, and assess how each student is fairing socially in his new environment. We will review what services the counselling department can provide and answer any questions your son may have.
As always, if your son would like to schedule his own appointment, he can drop by in person or send a message on Teams.
University Visit: On Monday, Sept. 28th Minnesota State University will be at St. Paul’s from 12:05-12:55 (lunch period) to meet with any interested students. They will be set up near the library.
Extra-Help and Tutoring
Daily Math Help: Students in any grade who would like help with math can drop by Room 104 Tuesday and Thursdays at lunch. Math teachers and peer tutors will be available for assistance. No appointment is necessary.
Peer Tutoring: The counselling department has a comprehensive list of current students who tutor their peers in various subjects. This is a convenient option as the tutoring occurs at school and is inexpensive. Students interested in a peer-tutor match should contact their counsellor.
Adult Tutoring: The counselling department maintains a list of adult tutors who tutor in a given subject area, either at the school or at a student's home. Tutors set their pay rate.
