Dress Code II: Warm Weather Dress Code
Dress Code I holds with the following optional changes:
Option 1: Regular Dress Code without Jacket. A jacket need not be worn. (Dress shirt, dress pants,
dress shoes, a belt, socks).
Option 2: Shorts/St. Paul’s Golf Shirt: Dress slacks may be replaced with acceptable dress shorts. These
dress shorts must be a beige, navy, or black walking short, cut just above the knee and having belt loops, a zipper and pockets. The shorts should have a maximum of four pockets located in the traditional location on the short (two in the front; two in the back). A belt must be worn. The dress shirt may be replaced with a SPHS golf shirt. The shirts must be purchased from the Crusader Shoppe or issued from a school club, or team. When shorts are worn, socks must be visible. Athletic shoes in good condition must be worn.
Option 3: Dress Pants/St. Paul’s Golf Shirt. A jacket need not be worn, and the dress shirt and tie can
be replaced by a St. Paul’s golf shirt as described in Option 2
Notes:
• All options are self-contained, and students are not permitted to mix and match elements from
separate options.
• A St. Paul’s branded, non-hooded sweater may be worn in lieu of a St. Paul’s polo.
We will follow a modified schedule to accommodate the Bing Crosby Speech Competition and Paul Herriot Spelling Bee.
12:50 p.m.: Grade 9, 10, and 11 students report to their core group stations for attendance.
Bing Crosby Speech Contest and Paul Herriot Spelling Bee: 1:00–3:15 p.m.

Thursday, 30 April kicks off the election process for next year's Student Council. We will follow Schedule III and will have an assembly to allow the President and Vice-President Candidates to introduce themselves and their platforms. The Opening Election Assembly is compulsory for grade 9–11 students. Grade 12 students who wish to vote must attend the assembly. Good luck to all of the teams well on their election campaigns!
Grade 12 students and their mothers will participate in the Mother-Son Celebration in the MultiPlex at 8:00 a.m. Following the celebration, there will be a reception in the Cass Gym. Please refer to previous school communications for further details and contact Ms. Kate Brito with any questions.
Grade 9 Students will participate in the Men for Others Day faciliated by Campus Ministry. Please refer to previous school communications for further details and contact Mr. Christian Martinez with any questions.

Access Program Info Session and May 1 Application Deadline
The Access Program provides support to students who demonstrate personal, academic or financial need. Deadline to apply is May 1. A virtual information session will be held on April 16 at 2:00 p.m. Register by emailing: accessafp@umanitoba.ca.

Parents of Grade 9-11 Students: Summer Business Program at Western
The John F. Wood Summer Leadership Program (SLP) is a 5-day, on-campus experience for students currently in Grades 9–11 where students live the university life at Western and learn what business school is really like at Ivey.

Parents of Grade 11 Students: Summer Program at UBC
High school students can try out a university subject before applying to university in the Future Global Leaders Program.
Students can enjoy the full university experience by attending Future Global Leaders at the UBC Vancouver campus (where students can choose between staying in a student residence or commuting daily to campus), or study at home with online courses.
MITT and RRC Polytech Update
On January 28, it was announced the MITT would wind down operations and transfer selected programs to RRC Polytech.
Nineteen MITT programs will continue to be offered by RRC Polytech beginning Fall 2026, including unique offerings and aligned or equivalent programs that sustain in demand training capacity. Here is a full list of programs that will be offered by RRC Polytech beginning Fall 2026.

A huge shout of thanks to all those who helped with the Nearly New Sale on Thursday, April 23. As well as those who helped with hospitality for the Parent Teacher Conferences. Your help, energy, and support mean so much, and we are so grateful to have such a caring school community.

New Student Clothing Night (Nearly New Sale) – Tuesday, May 12/26
We are looking for volunteers to help run the Nearly New Sale on Tuesday, May 12/26. This is the evening where new students get a chance to come into the school to purchase SPHS branded clothing and to take advantage of the great finds at the Nearly New Sale.
We still need 1 volunteer to help with setting up from 2:00-3:30 pm. We are looking for 1 more volunteer to work at the sale from 3:30-5:30 pm and another 2 volunteers to work at the sale and help clean up from 5:30-7:30 pm.

Evening of Performing and Visual Arts – Tuesday, May 26/26
This is a wonderful night of gathering to appreciate music and art. This is an enthusiastically attended event that brings in many families. We are asking for 8 volunteers to help during the two shifts this evening. 4 volunteers are needed from 6:00-7:30 pm and 4 more volunteers are needed from 7:30-9:30 pm. This is a great chance to volunteer if your son is in band. You will get a chance to watch him perform while helping out. If you are able to volunteer for this event, please sign up HERE.

On Saturday, April 25, our team is heading into battle at the Manitoba Robot Games at Tec Voc! We’re proud to have 7 students representing us in the Mini Sumo and Super Scrambler competitions. Expect precision, strategy, and a few very determined robots trying to push, race, and outsmart each other on the arena floor.If you’ve never seen student-built robots in action, this is your chance. Spectators are free and everyone is welcome to come cheer them on, explore, and experience the energy of the competition.
