Lest We Forget
Our school's annual Remembrance Day Service will occur on Friday, 7 November at 8:40 am. Students should report to their core group locations at 8:25 am and wait to be called to the MultiPlex. Schedule V and Dress Code V are both in effect. As a reminder, Dress Code V is Regular Dress Code with the additional requirement of a standard necktie or bowtie.
Importance of Remembrance
While November is recognized as a time of Remembrance for many across Canada, Remembrance is a year-long commitment. There are many opportunities available to anyone wishing to show their appreciation for those who served. Most importantly, we should all take a moment now and then to reflect on the freedoms and peace in our lives, to remember the men and women who served and sacrificed for all we have today, and to pray for peace and eternal rest for all who lost their lives protecting the freedoms of Canadians. Lest We Forget.
Prayer Requests
The Church has dedicated November as a time of prayer for the deceased. If you have any deceased friends or family members you would like to be remembered in prayer at the weekday liturgies at the school, feel free to send an email to Fr. Con Mulvihill, St. Paul's High School Chaplain, at cmulvihill@stpauls.mb.ca
The names of senders and of the deceased will be confidential.
