Tuesday, 6 May: Student Council Election Forum

Grade 9, 10, and 11 students should report to their core group stations by 8:30 a.m. We will follow Schedule III, including an assembly where candidates will respond to questions about their campaign platforms. Attendance is mandatory for Grade 9, 10, and 11 students. Attendance is optional for Grade 12 students unless they plan to vote in the election, in which case their attendance is required.

Wednesday, 7 May: Late Start for Students

Schedule IV is in effect. 

Friday, 9 May: Marian Liturgy (Grade 9–11)

Schedule V and Dress Code V are in effect. As a reminder, Dress Code V is Regular Dress Code with the additional requirement of a standard necktie or bowtie

All students in Grades 9, 10, and 11 are expected to attend. Students should report to their core group locations at 8:25 a.m. and wait to be called to the MultiPlex. Parents are welcome.

Grade 12 students are not required to attend this liturgy given their recent participation in the Mother-Son Ceremony.

Tickets for these two episodes can only be purchased online; please click on preferred links below.  (St. Paul’s students are entitled to one free non-transferable ticket. They simply scan the QR code from the hallway monitors to request their free ticket.)

Scholarships Featured This Week

Residents of Headingley: There is a $1,000 scholarship for a graduating student living in the RM of Headingley.   Applications due May 15th.

Brewer Youth Award for Environmental Action: A $3,000 award for leadership in environmental action.  Recipients receive a $3,000 cash prize, a short film produced about their work, a trip to participate in leadership development activities, flight, meals, and lodging accommodations. Applications due May 20th.

Valour Canada’s History and Heritage Scholarship:  A $1,500 scholarship for the winning 4–6 minute video on a local Canadian war memorial. Applications due June 11th.

Leadership Program- Grades 9 to 11 at Ivey Business School

Summer Leadership Program at Western is a four-day immersive experience for high school students passionate about business, leadership, and innovation. Hosted at the Ivey Business School at Western University, the program challenges students to develop leadership skills, engage in case-based learning, and tackle real-world business challenges alongside like-minded peers.

Program Overview

  • Location: Ivey Business School, Western University
  • Dates: August 5–8, 2025
  • Overnight Experience: Students stay in Western University’s residence halls for three nights, experiencing campus life firsthand.
  • Who Should Apply: High school students currently in grades 9 to 11, interested in leadership, business, and innovation.
  • Fee: $350

Application is due June 16th.

Nearly New – Upcoming Sale – Items Needed!

The next Nearly New sale will be held for new students entering St. Paul’s, taking place on May 13, 2025. We once again will be collecting gently used items. Items for the Nearly New sale need to be cleaned and labeled Nearly New and can be dropped off at the Front Office by Friday, May 9, 2025.

We are collecting gently used Suits, blazers, Dress pants, Dress shirts, School uniform polo shirts, School sweatshirts and t-shirts, shoes, belts, and ties to sell at our pop-up shoppe on the evening of May 13, 2025, for new students entering St. Paul’s.

All proceeds support our Christmas hamper fund!

Support the Class of 2025 Safe Grad – Prize Donations Welcome!

The Grad Committee is busy preparing for the Class of 2025’s upcoming celebration, including the Grad Dinner and Safe Grad event on Friday, June 20. One highlight of the evening will be a “Casino Royale” raffle, and families are invited to support the fun by contributing to the prize table. Grad Photo Retakes – May 7

Edge Imaging will be back at St. Paul’s for grad photo retakes on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. If your son missed his original photo session or would like a retake, please book a portrait session online at bookmygrad.ca using the school code: PUZ. Full details are in the attached flyer.
