Hello St. Paul's community!
On behalf of the Environmental Action Committee, we encourage students to donate gently used clothing or textile recycling in support of Diabetes Canada on April 22, 2025, Earth Day. Any SPHS clothing will go towards the school’s Nearly New program. Please have your sons bring their clothing to the Cass Gym link from 8:00–8:30 a.m. We hope to promote reuse and sustainability. Thanks for supporting this cause!
Also, if your sons are interested in bettering the community and supporting environmentalism, the EAC is always welcome to new members!

Attention all Grade 11 parents: each year, we require all Grade 11 students (both semesters) to attend a field trip to various houses of worship. This year, the event takes place Tuesday, April 29th. We thank you for completing the Permission Click form via the link below by Thursday, April 24th. Please note there is a modest fee to help defray some of the costs of the event. Congratulations to Eric Wardrop '25 for receiving an Honor Citation from the Loran Foundation. Out of over 6,000 applicants, Eric was selected based on evidence of character, service, and leadership potential.
Congratulations to grade twelve student and student-council president Mark Nashed, winner of the $16,000 BMO Financial Group Leader of Tomorrow Scholarship.
The Duncan Norrie Scholarship and the Acheson Cadieux Memorial Scholarship are awarded annually to a graduating St. Paul’s student. The scholarships have been advertised to all graduating students and information can be found in their Teams accounts.

The University of Manitoba has a helpful checklist organized by month from May–September for new students to stay on-top of registration and upcoming information sessions. The list has links to information on events such as “Get Ready to Register” and “Career Planning Seminar” as well as practical links such as how to create your timetable, how to submit AP marks, where to find your textbook list, how to apply for parking and much more.
A speaker from Mothers Against Drunk Driving presented to all students on Thursday, April 10th on the dangers of driving while impaired by any substance. The boys learned that 84% of all fatalities in alcohol related accidents are males, making this a salient issue for our population. If you would like information to continue this conversation with your son, MADD has an excellent website.

St. Paul’s High School invites all parents of current students to our annual Parent Retreat, an evening dedicated to reflection, connection, and spiritual growth.
This year’s retreat, themed “Ignatian Spirituality,” will provide an opportunity to explore the spiritual foundations of St. Paul’s in a welcoming and engaging atmosphere.
