Congrats to the JV and Varsity XC teams who won the West Winnipeg Athletic Conference Banners by clinching the championship in convincing manner today at La Barrierre Park.
In the JV race the Crusaders made history by running the perfect race and scoring the lowest possible score by finishing with an incredible 15 points. The Cru were led by Hayes McMillan (24) in 1st, Sean Ehman (24) in 2nd, Adam Smith (24) in 3rd, Draycen Ralph (25) in 4th and Brendan Espenell (25) in 5th.
The Varsity boys responded with a great race of their own. The Cru took down the previously unbeaten Vincent Massey Trojans by placing 5 runners in the top 8. The Cru were led by Ryan Kulbacki (22) in 4th, Ross Wilder (22) in 5th, Adam Buchwald (23) in 5th, Siwon Jengsuksavat (23) in 7th and Wylie Garchinski (23) in 8th.
The Cru will now continue to build on their fitness for the next two weeks as they prepare for the Manitoba Age Class Championship on October 23rd.
